Java was one of the first of the computer morphers and is still at it. We announced Valerie Fields' "retirement" in October...faked out again, as it turned out. A male was on the cover of September--what the fuck were we thinking? For many, the best cover of the year was November 1995: Tawny Peaks wore a super-lowcut sweater and licked a lollypop. You could jag-off to this cover alone. Inside, Tawny took on--but not in--a stud. During those days, it was "Mr. Softie Theater" due to newsstand censorial policies so everyone had to use their imagination to complete the pictures. It was a very good year overall.
